Fly on the Wall was back on the road, this time 7,000 miles away in Uganda, Africa.
We’re thrilled to be working with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine to produce a video profile about Touro alum Estie Roth. Estie believes that everyone on Earth deserves baseline healthcare and nutrition, and has travelled around the world to turn her views and passions into action.
Inspired by a medical mission to Kenya, Estie realized she wanted to pursue global health, and began thinking about how to best use her knowledge and skills to help rural communities around the world.
In 2016 she founded an organization called Shalom World, that seeks to provide medical care to rural communities that cannot commonly access or afford medical care. Estie and the village leaders worked together to build a medical clinic, run by the villagers, where local people can go to get good, quality medical care and where no one is turned away because they cannot afford to pay.
We’re so pleased to be able to share Estie’s compelling journey, and the story about what she is working on in Uganda.
We’ll update our blog as soon as the profile piece we produced with Estie is live. We’re excited for you to see it.
As a “sneak peek,” below are some photos we took on the road:
